In a way, I'm glad that I no longer get so many of those calls, from friends and colleagues who thought I could help them find the answer, either from the top of my head or by suggesting the right resource. So to that extent (and others of course), Google has been a real boon for me. But as you suggest, I think we also lose something if we only use Google.
