However, ...Hi Andrew --

And thanks for stopping by. However, the issue is not finding support on college campuses, as in a cadre of volunteers. Candidates have been finding workers for ages on campuses. 1968 was a big year for that. Sen. Gene McCarthy's anti-war candidacy the early Demo primaries against LBJ pretty much ended LBJ's plans to seek reelection. Students played a huge role in McCarthy's race.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12712163977315292252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37877540.post-41898503817836930232007-09-23T09:59:00.000-04:002007-09-23T09:59:00.000-04:00Bill Sloat,You're completely failing to recognize ...Bill Sloat,

You're completely failing to recognize the value of college students in an election outside of voting on election day.

True, a lot of college students don't vote where they live, but many are politically active anyway. Certainly a candidate could find young, able-bodied and eager volunteers on a campus. candidates may even find a few people who would donate money to a campaign.

It would be stupid to not try to find support on the city's campuses.Andrew Warnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14815724672527756224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37877540.post-1503572529229142512007-09-23T09:40:00.000-04:002007-09-23T09:40:00.000-04:00Hi Joe C. --It's pretty funny. Proably more from suburbs and out of state than city residents, so Winburn probably was just creating litter.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12712163977315292252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37877540.post-46685386701787358802007-09-23T09:13:00.000-04:002007-09-23T09:13:00.000-04:00Wow, the things some people choose to be outraged ...Wow, the things some people choose to be outraged about.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
