[Updated] Hackett Is Back: What If He Was A Senator?

CINCINNATI (TDB) -- [UPDATE: Here's today's Cincinnati Enquirer report, which points out an assault weapon was involved.]

WCPO-TV broke this story a day earlier. Not much to add except that Hamilton County grand juries sometimes are sympathetic to those who believed they were defending themselves against criminals. Paul Hackett did serve in Iraq in a combat zone with the U.S Marines, and he's an honorable man. A criminal conviction -- if it involves a gun crime -- might hurt his license to practice law in Ohio. Of course, there are no charges pending, and there might not ever be any.
