CINCINNATI (TDB) -- Cleveland U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich's daughter, Jackie, is making a name for herself as a journalist in Washington for The Hill, the newspaper that specializes in covering Congress. She broke this story about anarchists spray-painting the U.S. Capitol steps while a war protest was under way Saturday.
No doubt she is pursuing additional details about the police decision to avoid confrontation.
Kucinich's father, a Democrat who is running for President, is one of the nation's foremost critics of President George W. Bush's Iraq War policies, and Jackie deserves plaudits for doing her job as a reporter and covering the story without fear or favor. She clearly put the news ahead of family politics.
