COLUMBUS (TDB) -- The big sports news out of Columbus and Cleveland today is breaking now on ESPN. There is nothing yet up on the OSU athletics Web site about the departures. The Plain Dealer covered Antonio Pittman's press conference at his high school in Akron this afternoon and has fresh reporting on the Buckeye's jump.

The news that wide out Ted Ginn Jr. and running back Pittman are headed for the NFL draft has been on the Cleveland sports blog NFL Gridiron Gab for most of the afternoon. The last line in the post there caps the situation: As for the Buckeyes, a long off-season after the national title game disaster gets even longer.
A $64,000 question could remain: Is Jim Tressel thinking about the Browns head coaching job? Or is that a non-issue?
