Akron U's Zippy The Kangaroo: Voted USA's Top College Mascot

AKRON (TDB) -- Psychobilly Democrat has the news that Akron's Zippy the Kangaroo is the No. 1 marsupial in all the land. Three big cheers. A kangaroo has a lot more bounce than a Cincinnati Bearcat. Credit card company CapitalOne sponsored the mascot of the year contest as a promotion during the college football season. Congratulations, Zippy. (The Daily Bellwether certainly won't be so callous as to note that interest on the nation's credit card debt was certainly higher than interest in the mascot voting.)
