CINCINNATI (TDB) -- Dave Harding at Progress Ohio has the story about Rev. Donald Wildmon's American Family Association and its efforts to replace appearances of the word "gay" with the word "homosexual." A computer program does the reformatting in news copy that is redistributed by AFA. And it switched the name of American athlete Tyson Gay, who was transformed into Tyson Homosexual on the Christian right organization's online portal. Imagine what would happen -- and the reaction -- if the following verse of the Old English religious hymn "Lord, for tomorrow and its needs" was fed into the Rev. Wildman's gay-flagging reformatter:
"Let me in season, Lord, be grave,
In season gay;
Let me be faithful to thy grace,
Just for today."
