OH-02 Dem Vic Wulsin: Amends Financial Disclosure Report

CINCINNATI (TDB) -- Democratic congressional candidate Vic Wulsin has amended her personal financial disclosure report to show she did not receive $114,240 in payments from Soteni. Wulsin, a physician, leads the non-profit organization Soteni, which assists Kenyans in public health, AIDs eradication and economic issues. The OH-02 Democrat's campaign was preparing for attacks, and said it could head them off with revised financial disclosure reports that show Wulsin contributed services to the charity worth at least $114,240. She changed the financial report late last year. According to a Wulsin insider:

"She (originally) reported it as salary. She was told erroneously that she had to report the value of what she had done. She calculated it as the value of the time put in to the organization in '06."

Wulsin faces Steve Black in the March Democratic primary for Ohio's 2nd Congressional District. Republican U.S. Rep. Jean Schmidt now holds the seat.
