Cincinnati Enquirer: Porn Pops Up Under A Sports News Search

CINCINNATI (TDB) -- An X-rated site about moms who are interested in more than sports scores appears when searching the morning metro daily's online version for information about athletic misconduct. All it takes is to type in the word "cheating" and the first thing that appears is Totallyexposed.net, which truly lives up to its name. This is probably not the kind of content envisioned by mainstream publishers, who surely must be unaware their cyber products are tip-toeing into the realm inhabited by porn-meisters such as Larry Flynt. Indeed, Flynt's Hustler is there for sampling on Totallyexposed.net.

Newspapers have been vigorous in trying to weed out inappropriate content. They edit out words like f**k. Yet it now appears possible to see the act itself online.

There is some irony to find Flynt's smut-empire making inroads to the Cincinnati market on Cincinnati.com. His physical presence was run out of town long ago. Now he and his ilk are just a click away. How many kids are finding sex sites through the pages of their online newspapers? Politicians have complained and cracked down on sexual and violent content in video games, movies, TV shows and CDs. Now should they dig into the web portals of their daily newspapers hunting for seamy content?

  2. Hi Dean --

Thanks for the compliment about the template. Will be doing more in a little while ahead.

You sure are a busy fellow with your gang at The Beacon. I am an avid reader. There are a number of words that get XXX on the Cincy site. I won't get into them all, but I understand that people know them and have been using them. I wonder if the newspapers are making money off this stuff?
