Note To Media Conspiracy Theorists: There Is No Iraq News Coverup

CINCINNATI (TDB) -- Earlier this week, an Ohio blogger enlisted with the right's conspiracy crowd and accused the media of hiding good news about the Iraq War. Just to demonstrate how intellectually barren that thinking is, The Daily Bellwether checked out the official Web site of the Multi-National Force Iraq, the military command in Baghdad headed by Gen. David Petraeus. Even the armed forces saw the good news via the MSM. In fact, here are some of the news stories from media outlets that still appear on the Army's Baghdad site. If you are a "hidden good news" conspiracy buff, notice what the first and last headlines report (then quit claiming a coverup):

The link that connects to the military's online collection of news stories from civilian news services and journalists is here. The news that American troop deaths have declined in October is known around the world because it was widely reported by the MSM.

  1. And you're not going to name or link to the blogger!? Woe is me - I haven't been following that stuff closely to know - I hate it when that happens!
